I had a very wonderful birthday weekend with my two favorite people in the world. We enjoyed the beautiful Atlanta weather, good food, and fun local attractions!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
Sunday was cold and rainy -- a perfect day to stay inside and decorate the house for Christmas!
This is Isaiah's ornament for this year - Thomas the Train (what else?!?)
Enjoying some of Mommy's other pretties.

Saturday Adventures
Another fun adventure at Stone Mountain!!!!
Of course we had to ride the train again!!!
This time we watched the parade. While waiting for it to begin we listened to some carolers. Then came Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Craft Day
I am caught between Thanksgiving and Christmas land so posts may jump back and forth a bit as we celebrate one holiday and get ready for a next :)
Isaiah and I made a clay turkey last week with a mom's group. He was probably a bit young for the activitiy but he had fun and loves his turkey!
We started out by taking the different colors of clay and forming the parts of the turkey.
Here he is "patiently" waiting for the next part. Most of the time I was chasing him around the store!
The proud creator!!!
Here is the finished project. It had to bake for 45 minutes, thus we left and came back later (after nap time) to pick it up.
Adorable!!!
(isn't it cool that I figured out how to make my pictures bigger!!!)

Funny sayings of my toddler
Isaiah is growing and changing every day and most of the time he is hilarious. Here are a few of his latest antics:
1. I have always been annoyed by parents who refer to their spouse as mommy or daddy -- until now!! I now know the reason: Isaiah loves to call his daddy "Adam"! And he knows that he shouldn't which makes it more ornery (and funny to me since he doesn't know my name!)
2. I have been working on letters with Isaiah and will use his magnadoodle to write his name and "mommy" and "daddy". But whenever he sees the letter "M" he identifies it by saying "french fries"!! Not only when I write it but whenever he sees one anywhere (and yes Joy he is still doing it though he wouldn't "perform" for you:) ) And no I do not take my child to McDonalds all the time!!!
3. He is really into singing and will use anything as a microphone. The other day, quite out of the blue, he started singing into his baseball bat (unidentified melody) "applesause...applesause...applesause at Wal-Mart". I cracked up :)
4. My favorite thing he says (though I think this is common for lots of kids) when he wants to be held, he holds his arms up and says "I hold you". Adorable!

Its beginning to look alot like Christmas...
Despite that on Saturday it was 75 degrees and it isn't yet Thanksgiving, I am in the Christmas mood. So we headed out to Stone Mountain for their Christmas events! There is a ton of avtivities and we only did a few- though I fully intend to go back quite a few times during the season.
The main attraction for Isaiah is the train ride!!! It was a lot of fun. They played Christmas music and had may light display all around the mountain. They also stopped a long the way for a small skit about the true meaning of Christmas!
All of the buildings and many of the trees in the park are decorated in lights - they estimate about 2 million!!
