Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning we started out at home, enjoying time as a family, opening stockings and gifts. Last year Isaiah was only 2 months old so not as much fun as he was this year.

He had to be prompted a bit but finally got everything out of his stocking.

Then came the gifts. He definitely enjoyed the unwrapping part. We he had finished his, he tried to open everyone else's that was under the tree.

Here is Isaiah (with Daddy's help) trying out his new horse. He may be a little small for it now but will grow into it through out the year.

His favorite "gift" was the box my watch came in :)
...The rest of the day to come...

Christmas Eve

My mom had to work :( so my dad and brother and sister came over. After Isaiah went bed we played games and ate goodies until time to go pick mom up.

Start of the Festivities

On Tuesday evening we went down to my aunt's house for Christmas with the entire family. All the little kids had a gift exchange as well as all my aunts gave them gifts!

With a little help Isaiah finally got the hang of tearing into the wrapping paper. He received some cool cars that he wanted out of the packages right away. Though once they were out, her was off exploring other people's gifts.

He found the trash and had fun tossing it all over the room!

He and Emily played with Keeleigh's toys. He is at that great stage with cause and effect make him smile - turning the lights on and off and on and off, putting things in and out, things that open and close and go up and down. It is so much fun watching him learn and grow.

Countdown

Just 2 days and a few hours until Christmas...

Sportin' his new, fuzzy jammies!

Ornament

Adam's mom bought him and his siblings an ornament every year and we are carrying on the tradition.

Here is Isaiah's ornament for 2008.

Here he is trying it out to make sure it tastes good.

Here he is trying to put it on the tree himself.

Didn't work.

So daddy helped!

Babysitting

Friday I watched my niece McKynzi.

She and Isaiah made Christmas cards.

Hard at work.

Masterpiece.

Mmmm. Tastes good.

They also had fun spinning on the computer chair.

Then Joy brought the boys over for a little while so I had quite the full house.

Here are the three older boys all playing in Isaiah's room.

Isaiah was also fascinated with Reed and kept wanting to touch him.
Isn't he adorable :)

I've Been Tagged

Angie tagged me in a new game. You post the 4th picture in your 4th folder and your 5th picture in your 5th folder.

Here is Isaiah in his "aloha" outfit from last spring.

This is Isaiah's cousin Marla acting gooky.

Christmas Treasures

My mom and sister decorated their house last weekend. And knowing how little fingers like to mess in things they shouldn't, they hid some special treasures that Isaiah could play with and not get into trouble.

Month in Review

No, I did not fall off the face of the planet. And yes, my son has continued to grow and do adorable things. I am just a slacker so this will be an extremely long post as I basically give you a snap shot of November.

First of all, my friend Jessica and I went to St. Louis for a work conference. But while we were there, we couldn't do all work and no play. So here we are visiting the Arch.

We rode to the top, which if you can't see in the picture, is 630 feet in the air.

Here is a shot from the top, overlooking the St. Louis skyline.

We then ate at a quaint place called Joanie's Pizzeria. Great food!!

One day I was working in our office, and Isaiah found a lot to amuse himself with.

Here are some shots of Isaiah getting ready for winter and cold weather.
Where's the Baby?

There he is!! Playing in Dad's sweatshirt.
Trying out his new cap.

Lookin' sharp in his K-State apparell (the cap is Adam's and the jacket was from the Bergquists)

THANKSGIVING
We had an eventful weekend. It all started with the three of us meeting my parents and sisters at K-Mart bright and early on Thanksgiving morning (7am)

Ready to brave the cold.

Enjoying breakfast after shopping.

Later that day, we enjoyed a feast with family and friends. Here is Isaiah enjoying his first Tahnksgiving meal.
And here is an adorable picture of him playing at a table just his size. Doesn't he look so old in this picture? :(

Friday, we went the ground running with more shopping. This time, Isaiah stayed with Grammy and Papa. Here are me and my sisters at Wal-Mart.

And here is me and Thunder Dog, the mascot of the Thunder Hockey Team.

Later in the weekend, we went to visit Adam's family. Here is Isaiah at Grandma Nola's.
And here is his cousin Marla.

And finally, December!! We started putting up our Christmas decorations, but as we are not finished yet, there are no pictures. But Isaiah was a big help putting up the tree.

I saved the best for last, for the few dedicated to read all the way to the end. Isaiah is walking!!!! On November 11th, he took his first steps to me when I came to pick him up from daycare. That night he wouldn't do it for daddy. I think was almost a week before Adam saw him walk. He doesn't do it a lot know but with some encouragement he will walk inbetween people and objects. I know it won't be long before he is all over the place! He is certainly enjoying himself :)

I promise I have video (DUH!) but I can't get it to work right now so you can anxiously await it to come soon.
I also promise to be more diligent on getting things posted!
