Weekend Escape

A couple of weeks ago we went to visit Uncle Kent, Aunt Julie, Marla and Grandma Nola in Joplin. It was Marla's birthday, she was turning 2 years old, and we decided to make a weekend out of the visit.
We stayed in a hotel so the kids could enjoy some swimming. Check out that super cute profile and white tummy!

At first Isaiah wasn't so sure about this. There was a lot of people in the pool and so it was noisy. He clung to either Adam or I the entire time. Though by the end he started loosening up and would splash some.

Marla and Isaiah loved to jump on the bed. Isaiah says jump and thinks he is doing something even though he never actually leaves the ground.

Here they are wrestling and pretending they are asleep.

We had 2 beds in our room, so Isaiah slept in one all by himself. He thought he was pretty cool.

The birthday party was a lot of fun. Here is Isaiah enjoying some of the party food.

Julie had a great idea. Since it was an ocean/under the sea theme, she blew up a whale-shaped swimming pool, put raw macaroni, shovels, buckets, etc in the pool and let the kids go at. They loved it.

Isaiah had fun until he started tasting all the macaroni and then putting it back -- got to love my little germ-spreader. He had to be removed from the pool for a while!
Over all it was a fun weekend away!!

Valentines Day Party

Yesterday I made cupcakes and took them to Isaiah's class for his Valentine's Party.

I think he enjoyed the treats!
Here are pictures of his classmates that can also enjoy the yummy sweets.

Mercedes

They all got a pair of sunglasses from one of the students.

By the way, his are already broken!

New Basketball

At the Shocker's game this last weekend we got a new basketball. It is pink -- which I love! Here is Isaiah helping Daddy pump it up.

Question :)

Does this mean that I will have a nonstop talker with a big mouth if it takes two pacifiers?

Go Shockers, again!

We went to another Shocker Girls Basketball game Sunday afternoon. My sister Tiffany got discount tickets from work so Adam, Isaiah, and I joined her, Luke, and three girls.

We went early so we could one of the free pink basketballs that they were giving away to the first 500 kids. So before the game we hung out in the kid zone. Here is Isaiah by a big picture of Wu.

Once the game started, Isaiah was intent on watching. Which by the way did not last very long.

It was pink day to support breast cancer research. Here is Wu in his very manly shirt.

Tatum, McKynzi, and Isaiah -- cousins are a wonderful blessing.

McKynzi, Tatum, and MiKayla -- aren't they pretty in pink.

Random Picutre Post

I know it has been a while!

Here is Isaiah trying out Daddy's back massager. We put a pillow in front of it so it wouldn't hurt him.

Isaiah loves his basketball goal. He is almost tall enough to get the ball in on his own, without having to pull it towards him.

I gave him a chicken leg the other night at dinner. He wasn't sure what to do with it.

Isn't he cute!

He is my big helper! He decided that all of his dirty clothes needed to come out of his hamper...

...and be put into my dresser.

He is getting good at blocks and will put them together as well as pull them apart. If you can see, his tongue is sticking out. That means he is concentrating hard on his task.

Go Shockers!

We took Isaiah to a Shockers Women's Basketball game. At first he just sat in his chair and watched.

But then he got into the game and started clapping.

Here he is imitaiting the crowd raising their hands...

...and cheering.

I think he had fun!

Happy Birthday, Tatum

My niece turned 8 on January 21st (I know that was over 2 weeks ago!). We had her party at McDonalds Play Area.

Even though I am particular about germs :) I did let him play on the equipment. We just used a lot of hand sanitizer afterwards!

Here is Isaiah and Keeleigh playing in the slide tube.
