River Fest

Erica and I made a last minute decision to go to River Fest Saturday night for the concert and fireworks. She has a friend who plays in the orchestra. We made our way downtown, happened to snag a pretty good parking spot, and made our way among all the people. We had to stand during the concert. But that was ok as we could see better that way.

Here we are enjoying our funnel cake - I love fair/carnival food.


We then made our way down to the river to find a spot for the fireworks. Once again we snagged a great spot. Perfect view, nothing or no one blocking our vision.

As if you could tell, the river and Douglass Bridge is behind me.

We were literally sitting on the ledge of the river down by the Hyatt. The water is directly below my feet.

And, somehow, even with the large crowds, we managed to run into people we knew :)

We had a fun evening!
