Happy Fall

Happy Halloween!

HippoHopp

Yesterday we went to a place called HippoHopp (like Pump It Up) with our mom's group. Isaiah had a blast!!! He loves inflatables- I barely could get his shoes off before he was off and running. He was very brave - trying all the different slides even if they were quite tall. I only had to help him a couple of times before he figured things out for himself.

Besides the inflatables, they also had a nice area with toys, and books, and balls - great toddler items. Isaiah had fun exploring these as well.

I have a feeling we go back again!!! :)

Littlest Chef

Isaiah loves to help me in the kitchen! A couple of weeks ago he got his first "taste" of cooking when we made brownies and wants to be involved all the time now!

Yesterday we made rice krispie treats and granola. His favorite part is stirring whatever is in the bowl and of course, eating it is well :)

And yes he is still in his jammies, the ones he was in in yesterday's post!! You try getting him out of them!!!

These are a few of my LEAST Favorite Things

Throughout the course of today, I encountered a few things that will never make the list of things I greatly enjoy doing.

1. Isaiah and I made rice krispie treats; and though these are an ok snack, I discovered I would prefer someone else make them. Just not a huge fan of gooey marshmellow cream stuff!

2. We had meatloaf for dinner. As most of my fam knows this is not my favorite meal, mainly because you have to squish around raw meat!! Gross!! None the less, I made it and survived!

3. I had a traumatic experience at a petting zoo when I was younger, or so I am guessing because the idea of animals coming up to me and eating out of my hand freaks me out quite a bit. BUT, I took Isaiah to the Yellow River Game Ranch today and we had a pretty good time. This is a place where many animals roam free and you can pet/feed them and just enjoy being in nature. At first, we were both not sure if it was worth it -- but we (and by we I mean me!) ended up being brave and having a nice time.

The trees are just starting to turn colors and are very pretty.

Deer are everywhere!!! The are very friendly and want food but are not obnoxious like goats and sheep (which you will see later are in pens, thank the Lord)

Our favorite part were the bunnies. A nice girl gave Isaiah a carrot so he could feed them. He loved it!!

Bears are my favorite animal so I enjoyed watching these Georgia Black Bears beg for food.

It is a good thing these weren't roaming 'cuz I would have hauled us out of there in a hurry! My repressed memory must involve goats!!!!!

They had the bucks sectioned off- impresseive antlers.

More trees and the river.

Me trying to get him to look and smile - futile I know!

Overall, it was a good day (though probably not one of my favs :) )

The next VanGogh

I bought some watercolors during the back-to-school sales and decided it was time to do some painting! Well, not me, Isaiah :) He loved it and made many nice pictures that are now hanging on our refridgerator!

Let me explain his outfit -- even though these pictures were taken at 4 in the afternoon he is in his jammies! He found them when I was folding laundry and proceeded to immediately take off the clothes he had on and attempt to put these on. Who am I to argue, I love being in my jammies too :) The nametag was from story time at the library that morning and of course we couldn't take it off/not wear it all day!! So cute :)

Girls Weekend!!!

After Isaiah and I picked Joy up at the airport on Thursday, we went downtown and met Adam for lunch. This was my first time driving downtown and finding parking and walking to the destination all by myself. We did very well if I do say so myself!!!

We then dropped off Isaiah with a friend and headed out for our weekend. We headed to one of many malls, shopped (duh!) and then found our hotel. After a quick bite to eat at Chipolte it was off for more shopping.

Friday we headed out to get pedicures.

Angie had given us each of us Starbuck's gift cards....

So we stopped for a midafternoon snack!

Friday evening we headed to the Symphony. Despite that it took us an hour to get there (which is only 11 miles from our hotel) we had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed some great music.

(we took this picture before getting "in trouble" for taking pictures in the concert hall!)

We then went back to the hotel and relaxed--- with Hannah Montana!!!

Saturday we headed to North Georgia Premier Outlet Mall. It is about an hour north of the city so we enjoyed a nice drive, taking in all of the beautiful fall colors. After more shopping and dinner at Chili's (one of our favs) we headed back to my house. Here is us, worn out and with all our loot!

On Sunday before taking Joy back to the airport, we went the the Coca-Cola museum.

We could taste coca-cola products from around the world. The ones from Africa were our least favorite, but the other places had some good ones -- Isaiah definitely enjoyed it!

On Saturday night we watched "My Life in Ruins", so in honor of the movie here is us drinking the pop from Greece.

After all the other flavors, it was nice to have some "real stuff"!

It was sad to see my dear friend leave but we had a wonderful weekend! And despite the distance, our friendship will always remain!!! I love you Joy!
