Yesterday we went to cheer on my nieces in their sports debut. Tatum is playing volleyball.
And here are some pictures of Isaiah enjoying watching McKynzi's team play soccer (she didn't play this week)

Are you ready for some football?!?!?
We kicked off football season by going to a game on Thursday. It was a lot of fun, though rather warm. At first Isaiah didn't know what to think of it all.
Isn't he cute in his football shirt.
After I let him crawl around in the bleachers for a while, he seemed to think it was ok.
He even "cheered". We are number 1!!!
And by the end, he thought he even needed to look like the rest of the guys, bare chested and all :)

Swimming
We thought that since it was almost the end of summer maybe we should take Isaiah swimming. So a few weeks ago we brought a small blow-up pool (you gotta love Wal-mart clearance!) but then it turned cool for a while. Well, yesterday it heated up quite nicely, so we blew up the pool and let him splash around for a few minutes. I'm not sure he liked the cool water very much to begin with but he quickly got the hang of it.
Then he discovered there was grass within his reach and he decided that was more fun than the water.
Today, McKynzi and MiKayla (Isaiah's cousins) came over to play in the pool as well.
Since Tiffany was babysitting our cousin Keeleigh, we also thought she might like to play in the water. She didn't!

Week in Review
As I haven't posted in a while, I thought I'd fill everyone in on this past week. It started out with an emotional project for me. We finally ran out of room in Isaiah's dresser drawers, so I had to pack up everything that he has out-grown. This included everything from newborn to his current size 9-12 months. And of course, just about every outfit has a memory so I was a bit emotional.
But on the flip side, as he is getting bigger (and older- he is now 10 months!) he is getting so cool. He pulls himself up onto just about everything. He can "walk" along furniture and loves to push his walker toy around the room. He is into drawers and cabinets so it is time to baby-proof. He is exporing different sounds and facial expressions. And he is starting to imitate other people. We are having a blast and trying to enjoy every minute of ot :)
The other exciting news of the week is we got new windows!! When we bought our house 2 years ago, all the windows were old, brittle, and painted shut. So finally got around to replacing them, and it is wonderful to be able to open windows and feel a breeze through the house. I'm looking forward to that this fall-- though right now we still have our air on :)
I promise to try and get some new pictures and video of Isaiah's new "tricks" so stay tuned.

Amazing
Kids are such marvelous miracles from God. I am amazed at how Isaiah is growing and developing each day. He is constantly learning new skills. Here are a couple of videos (sorry they are poor quality-they are off the video modo on my digital camera) that show his two newest tricks. He just sat down with these toys yesterday and started playing with them appropriately. Up to this point he used to just knock them over or climb on them. And know he can do multi-step tasks repeatedly. Awesome!!!

New Trick
Though I don't have "proof" of this yet, I did want to share with everyone that Isaiah can sit up on his own!!!!!!!!! The other day as he was crawling all over the room, all of a sudden, he stopped and sat up so he could play with a toy. He hasn't mastered sitting up if he is on his back; but from his tummy he can now change positions at will :)

Zoo trip
Adam and I love to go to the zoo, so this morning we decided we would go, befor it got too hot to be outside.
The fire department and police department were at the zoo. Isaiah was the first baby to be photographed in front of the city's new fire engine.
He is starting to become more aware of the animals. He enjoyed the turtle that swam in front of him.
Isn't this adorable!!!!
Oh no!!!! Animal on the lose!!!!
Weekend with Family
We went to visit Adam's mom on Friday and Saturday. While we were there we got to see Uncle Kent, Aunt Julie, Marla (cousin), Aunt Lindy and Uncle Ryan. Here is a picture of the fam.
